His scholarly contributions have appeared in prominent journals such as The Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants. Additionally, he has shared his expertise by delivering presentations at various scientific conferences.

Dr. Abouzgia's professional foundation was built at the University of Toronto, where he also completed his residency at The Toronto Hospital. His dedication to excellence was recognized when he was awarded a fellowship certificate by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Furthering his academic pursuits, he obtained a master's degree in science from the University of Toronto while engaged in a research project within its Department of Mechanical Engineering.
In his personal time, he enjoys traveling and gardening.
